Blackwater Falls Lodge Renovation

As part of Governor Jim Justice’s initiative to improve West Virginia State Parks and increase tourism to the state, the Blackwater Falls State Park Lodge was one site indicated for improvements. The Blackwater Falls State Park Lodge Renovation involved selective demolition, abatement, and renovation of the existing 45,000 SF building. In addition to self-performing general interior renovation work and renovating lodge rooms to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Wolf Creek Contracting oversaw MEP subcontractors as they replaced existing mechanical systems in rooms and public areas.
Wolf Creek Contracting completed the Blackwater Falls State Park Lodge Renovation in early 2022. The lodge maintains the personality and charm of the lodge’s original 1950’s architecture while offering the amenities of a modern hotel. This contract is one of several West Virginia Division of Natural Resources contracts completed by Wolf Creek Contracting. We are honored to support the Governor’s vision to develop this great state’s bountiful natural resources into more accessible destinations for all.
