The city of Romney, located in the northeast corner of West Virginia, received funding to complete new ADA compliant sidewalks for their local community. This work was completed in the summer of 2020 and consisted of upgrading the underground storm structures and piping, installing 650 square yards of sidewalks, installing new concrete curbs, and constructing ten ADA compliant handicap ramps. Not only did these improvements provide more freedom for the community’s disabled, but they also provided a facelift to several areas within the city limits.
